Symptoms of a Wrist Sprain

Treatment for a Wrist Sprain
Mild to moderate sprains often heal without medication through rest, ice, compression, and elevation. “Resting the wrist for about 48 hours, icing the wrist, and using a bandage” can reduce swelling. Other approaches include splints, anti-inflammatory medications, and therapeutic exercises.
Recovering From a Wrist Sprain
Recovery timeframes vary: most heal within 2-10 weeks, though some require “4 to 6 months to heal completely.” Those without improvement after 48 hours should consult a physician.
